Fashion designer Ursa Drofenik is well known in Slovenia. In the last decade she has received several awards and prizes at international competitions and has presented her work at several fashion design shows. In 2003 she opened her own sales point in the Emporium mall and a fashion atelier in Ljubljana and in 2005 a fashion show room in Rogaska Slatina.

2008- She had the honour of dressing the prime minister’s fiancee Urska Bacovnik for a formal dinner with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.
2008- Christine becomes a word renowned model for UD creations.
2008- ORF ( Austrian Television) screened an interview with Christine and Ursa
2008- opened a fashion salon in Hotelu Kempinski Palace (Portorož)
2007- Miss Austria, Christine Reiler, had worn one of Ursa’s creations in the Miss World 2007 contest. The dress of silk and steel thread stitched with 80 flowers of Idrian lace had taken 18 months to make and was valued at 40.000Eruos. The gown was listed in the top 3 and Christine was listed in the top 10 in the world.
2007- She opened a new fashion outlet UD in the mega store Nama in Ljubljana
2006- opened a fashion salon in Rogaska Slatina. UD hired premises in
an old house in Rogaska Slatina, a Slovene health resort, and rennovated
them, creating all the essential conditions for production and sales of
Ursa’s precious evening creations. Regular visits of Russians to this
health resort and the interest for UD creations might make this salon

2005- her gowns have appeared regularly in magazines such as Book
Moda and Collezioni, she has taken part in fashion shows in Neaples
(organized by Amnesty international), Italy and was invited to present
her creations to the Near East under the organisation of the Italian
editor of Book.
2005- created the gown for Slovene representative for Miss Universe
2005. Her gown was listed in the top 10 at the Miss Universe contest in
China.
2005- her creation was chosen for Miss Slovenia’s appearance at Miss World.
2005- UD collection gowns were published in the 77th edition of BOOK
MODA HAUTE COUTURE. Ursa Drofenik is the first Slovene fashion designer,
who managed to enter the world fashion elite.
2005- record – at the 2005 Slovene Viktor Awards 18 famous Slovenians were wearing her creations.
2005- at the Slovene pre-selection for Eurosong five contestants were wearing her creations.
2005- Zlatarna Celje invited her to co-operate with them.
2004- she was the official costume designer for 2004 Hit Festival.
2004- at the Slovene “Sea and Sun” festival the singer Alenka Godec
received the award for the best total look. Ursa was named queen of
evening gowns.
2004- was listed as one of the 19 most promising Slovene fashion
designers that are creators of temporary fashion and fashion for the
future – choice made at the exhibition of contemporary Slovene fashion
design FRESH.
2004- took part in fashion shows organised by Modna Jana. In
Ljubljana she had a photo session with Stephan Lupino, world known
Croatian photographer.
2004- was invited to attend Croatia Fashion Week as Slovenia’s
representative.
2004- won 1st prize at the “Dream Prom Dress 2004”, organised by the
dancing school Urska, Ljubljana.
2003- designed dresses for Miss Universe, Zagreb, Croatia. She
dressed Ivana Sundov, who was nominated for the most elegant personality
of the Croatian celebrities scene.
2002- she opened her sales point in Ljubljana’s mall EMPORIUM.
Through Emporium she has been dressing Miss Croatia’s representative for
Miss Universe for 2 years in a row.
2002- again created two dresses that were chosen for the “Dress contest
2002”, organised by Jana magazine.
2002- participated in fashion shows organised by Modna Jana.
2001- She opened her own fashion atelier on Periceva street 17 in Ljubljana.
2001- created two dresses chosen for the “Dress contest 2001”,
organised by Jana magazine in Ljubljana.
2000- well known rap performer Ali En was nominated as best dressed
Slovene, wearing blue overalls created by Ursa Drofenik.
2000- her creation 10,000 Swarovsky crystals came 2nd at the
competition for the selection of Miss Slovenia’s (Masa Merc) dress,
organised by ONA magazine in Ljubljana.
2000- designed and published her own calendar.
1999- worked with Croatian fashion photographer Ivan Balic - Cobra
1998- presented her creation ("the Decadence"), made of corn grains at
the Smirnoff International Fashion Awards Competition.
1996- came 2nd at the Slovene selection for the international
competition Smirnoff International Fashion Awards, Ljubljana. Dress is
made from silicon material for windows and small glasses. Dress label is
"Sorrow".
1996- won 1st prize for her creation Wine Drops at the competition for the selection of Miss Slovenia’s (Alenka Vindis) gown, organised by ONA magazine in Ljubljana.
1995- took part in the international competition and fashion show Mittelmoda Premio in Gorica, Italy.
